Our Founder Chrissy would scoop stray dogs off Dead Dog Beach one at a time and fly them off the island to get adopted at great cost. In that time, The Sato Project has blossomed into an incredible organization that has rescued ~8,000 dogs. Since Hurricane Maria in 2017, The Sato Project has flown over 250 displaced animals to the mainland to reunite with their families following natural disasters. It’s our #NoDogLeftBehind program and it doesn’t cost the owners a thing. It can be extremely costly and difficult to fly your pet from Puerto Rico to the mainland, so as long as the animal is completely prepped with our full vetting protocol, we are more than happy to help make their families whole again.Happy life, Zitro! #SatoStrong |
